Meet the Teacher
Tsunma Kunsang Palmo
Kunsang is an ordained nun and has spent two decades of her life practicing and teaching meditation in the Buddhist tradition. Born in England, Kunsang began her Buddhist journey in 2005 after an inspiring encounter with Lama Zopa Rinpoche in Nepal. She went on to study with renowned Buddhist teachers, including Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo and Mingyur Rinpoche, under whose guidance she completed a traditional three-year solitary meditation retreat.
Kunsang travels around the world to teach meditation. She now joins us in Kenya to teach us the practice through AAM, a program developed by Mingyur Rinpoche.
Five Night Meditation Retreat
A retreat is a time to escape the noise and complexity of modern life and immerse yourself into an environment that allows you to slow down and deepen your experience with yourself, and the world around you. Our retreats are intentionally small and intimate, allowing for a more personal experience.
Retreat life is simple, with a daily program to follow. There are periods of meditation, movement, silence, teachings and discussion. There is time for reflection and of course, quiet meal times to enjoy every morsel of the delicious food that will be served.
Without having to return to the demands and distractions of everyday life at the end of each day, the practice has time to develop and settle.
A retreat is not a spa or a vacation, however most people leave feeling far more refreshed, re energised and inspired.
